I didn't find this to have a very "chocolately" flavor. Then I read the ingredients and it's primary ingredient is high fructose corn syrup. I prefer the mocha powder which is chocolate and sugar.

this is a dark rich delicious sauce for anytime you would normally use chocolate sauce, such as over ice cream. i use the powder when i make a homemade mocha espresso drink.

Would love if it were a little more bittersweet (like a real dark chocolate). However, it still tastes great when I mix it with peppermint or raspberry syrup. I enjoy having this product and will continue to use it.

I love that I can have great tasting lattes and hot cocoa without ever leaving my home with the help of this sauce. The pumper makes it easy to dispense. I find I don't have to use as many pumps as I thought since it's plenty sweet. I will buy it again when I run out.

I bought this hoping I could make mochas at home when I was not able to stop at a Starbucks. I was very disappointed. This tasted no better than dark chocolate syrup sold for a fraction of the price at the grocery store- too sweet, not enough rich dark chocolate flavor. I ended up using it to make chocolate milk for my kids just so it wouldn't go to waste. Glad to see the mocha powder is back!

I am a huge Starbucks fan, but I was hugely disappointed to see that the first ingredient of their mocha syrup is corn syrup, particularly in light of their general trend toward natural and healthier ingredients. I would jump at the chance to buy a new version of this product with real, natural sugar, but I cannot recommend it as is.

I got the Bittersweet mocha based upon something I read that the drinks at Starbucks used this instead of the Semisweet that we've been using for a year.
Personally, I never use mocha in my drinks, but I tried this one and really liked it; and may use it from time to time.
My wife (who drinks an iced peppermint mocha every single day), however, preferred the Semisweet. Go figure.
I think my point here is just that these two versions do have a noticeable difference in taste, of which I would describe the Bittersweet being more like eating a "Dark" chocolate whereas the Semisweet is more like a "Milk" chocolate. I don't think one will know which you like better though until you try it.
Personally, I'm glad I tried it since I happen to like this flavor better; but your own mileage may vary.

My favorite drink at Starbucks is the salted caramel mocha. I am very happy to be able to make this drink at home because this mocha sauce is very good. The pump makes it very easy to use and the drink can be exactly the same every time you make it. I highly recommend this product.

I'm adding my voice to a growing number who were disappointed with their mocha's after using this product. I ordered this before learning that the store uses powder not syrup to make cafe mocha. It does make drinks taste sickly. So far, my favorite remains the sugar-free cinnamon dolce syrup.

I had been making mochas (with the powder) at home for more than 10 years when they discontinued the powder. I liked it the way it tastes in the store (which I also visit frequently).
Like many many others here I was extremely disappointed with this product. Tried it twice and threw it away. It tastes nothing like the powder, has a weird aftertaste, and is mostly corn syrup.
Ironically, since I can't make the drink I love at home, I am drinking less Starbucks now, and have turned my attention to Turkish coffee, which is also much less fattening.
Starbucks - you have made a huge mistake by discontinuing the powder. Bring it back and you'll restore my confidence. Don't bring it back and you are slowly losing a very long-time customer.

This brings my favorite Starbucks taste home. And with the pump (included) it is SO easy to use. I love the chocolate taste that is strong and edgy, not sweet and sappy. Perfect for the coffee snob at home!

I was looking for something that would allow me to make my very own cafe mochas at home with the great Starbucks flavor. After purchasing this, I'm still looking.
When tasted alone there's a definite chocolate flavor (really similar to ice cream syrup), but when adding with espresso and milk that flavor disappears entirely. All you taste is a sickly sweetness. Corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup are the main vehicles for the sauce, and dominated everything.
If you want a true chocolate flavor, stick with powder and don't buy 63oz of this product.

As a fan of Cafe mocha drinks, I have been looking for the perfect dark chocolate to get that Starbucks mocha flavor I love. I have been using the Starbucks mocha powder for years and was pleasantly surprised when they started to offer this syrup. Now that I've used it for a few drinks myself, I am of the opinion that it's still too sweet a syrup compared to the original Starbucks mocha flavoring. My search continues.
