The Whole Bean French Roast has been my favorite coffee for about 25 years, and I've tried my share of coffee too. Real Blue Mountain, to Mexican and every brand name. I still want to try those others, but want my Starbucks French Roast, freshly ground, run through my espresso machine, with frothed half & half in the morning, and you can expect a fork through your hand if you try reaching over to take it from me! It taste like heaven!

I became a Starbucks customer in 1986, living in Seattle who wasn't! I began brewing my own at home shortly after, it's been French Roast at home everyday, I cannot drink anything but!
When we travel I take my own coffee with me be it flying or driving. If I'm out and about it's my double short breve` latte at the counter or when it's hot out , I make it a tall iced latte with an extra shot.
My family thinks I'm obsessed, they are correct!
If it's not my Starbuck's French Roast I will not drink it!

This coffee is a hit in our office! Everyone loves it - finally, something the whole office agrees on! It's great to get the whole beans and smell the aroma as people brew fresh pots of coffee. We also purchase the pre-ground coffee for short notice meetings which is really convenient.

I sent two pounds of the French Roast as a treat to my nephew who is in college studying for finals. He is a great young man & deserves excellent coffee!

Starbucks French Roast is definitely the best dark roast coffee that I have ever tasted. If you don't like a strong cup of coffee then I would recommend something else. I have enjoyed Starbucks for the past 12 years. It has never failed to satisfy my coffee craving.

I had run out Starbucks French roast whole beans and did not have access to a store that sells them, so I ordered online. The beans arrived as quickly as possible and were extremely fresh. It was such a relief to have my favorite coffee once again!

We really enjoy our French Roast first thing in the morning! It heps make the day start with gusto; we can even smell the coffee as it steaming out of the expresso machine.

This coffee makes an excellent espresso shot, which goes perfectly in any latte drink. I love the complexity and very full bodied taste it provides to my drinks. Actually taste the coffee and know its there...if you know what I mean. I swear this is the closest I can get to making my latte drinks taste like Starbucks makes. If you like to taste the coffee and not just milk and sugar, than this is a great bean to try.

I am a lover of a good french roast and Starbucks makes a good one WHEN IT IS DONE CORRECTLY. I hate to say it but we (my friends and I) have even started calling the franchise CHARbucks because this roast is so often burnt beyond recognition.
If you are buying Starbucks French Roast, always smell the package first. If you squeeze the package and sniff near the breather slits you can usually tell the distinct smokey flavor of BURNT French Roast. When it is NOT burnt, it has a more fruity smell.
You will, of course NOT be able to tell, by smell alone, if it is UNDER roasted but that is a minor problem compared to burnt beans.
