have to use straw

i didn't realize you had to use the straw. it is basically like a thermos. also the paper insert/directions said not to store dairy products in it. now, i normally don't store anything in tumblers, but i do put milk in my coffee and it takes me some time to drink it. so i wasn't sure hwo that worked. i didn't like it and i returned it.

I too thought this was a hot drink tumbler

I needed to replace my starbucks venti stainless steel mug that I loved, someone at work stole/threw out my t0p to the mug. I bought this in the store....thought the straw was annoying but thought I could deal with it. Then when I got home, read the inside paper insert and realized this tumbler is for COLD drinks only. Will return, should have been more pronounced saying this was for cold drinks. Nice mug though, if you only drink cold drinks. :)

Best cold drink trumbler

This is my first recommendation on a product. This trumbler keeps drinks cold longer then I expected. Bought a few for gifts and they love it too. Every night I fill it with ice and water and it stay cold sometimes till next evening. Now I have one for bedside and one for when I I'm out on the road.. I love everything about it. Now make them 24 oz and that's a 10 star.

I thought this would hold hot beverages, but it is only for COLD. I returned it. Could be my mistake, but I did not see that in the description.

This is the first product I've never given a full 5-stars to.... It has all the awesome qualities you would expect from Starbucks, and I'm totally satisfied, however, there is one little thing that bugs me about this tumbler. The straw doesn't stand straight up. I know, if that's the ONLY THING I can complain about, then is it really worth it? Well, to me it is. Aside from that, it's awesome!

Great cup keeps everything cold all day! I used it for water w/ice and a iced latte they both had pieces of ice at the end of the day. Wish they made a smaller one since my 2yr old daughter loves it for her smoothies. We have 2 and thinking of buying 2 more!

My only disappointment was upon opening it I then discovered it could only be used for cold beverages. I am hopeful you will offer a 20 oz. double walled tumbler for the hot drinks as well!

1st -- Who wants to sip on on hot coffee
2nd -- The straw is not even long enough (too short)
3rd -- Does not keep hot items hot long enough
4th -- Can not pour item into another cup as easy
Picture was not clear enough to see that this was a sipping cup with a straw.

Anne77 This tumbler was designer for COLD beverages, not HOT. If you read the description you would know this, and using a straw in a hot beverage is dangerous.
Keeps drinks cold, and works as intended. It's much better than the standard cold drink tumblers.

When I first saw this tumbler, I purchased 2 of them because I was so excited that Starbucks had produced another Venti Tumbler for hot drinks. However, I was slightly dissapointed when I got home after my husband pointed out the straw and insert that stated it was for cold drinks only! Now, I love them! I drink Iced Lattes and these tumblers keep them cold long enough for me to have to toss out the actual ice cubes when I wash it! P.S. Starbucks, you really need to produce a Venti Tumbler for hot drinks!!
