This is a very smooth and satisfying coffee, that is also surprisingly complex. The slight pepper notes made this a favorite after-dinner, during-dessert coffee in my house. One of my new favorites.

This coffee is not to be missed while offered. It is smooth and no aftertaste. I tried it a month ago, and had to order another bag. Great coffee to sip while relaxing.

In the past I have had coffee from Colombia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Jamaica, France, Italy and Arab coffee and I can say for sure this Panama coffee is so good, it has perfect taste, smooth and has a fresh aroma.

Not deserving of "reserve" rating

My husband and I are "coffee snobs" so I was excited to try the "lemony and peppery flavors". Well as far as we could tell there wasn't much flavor at all to this coffee. Even the beans smelled underwhelming. This was a major disappointment.

Still searching for coffee as good as the original Starbuck's House Blend. This coffee was really good - but it wasn't a match. I'll keep looking. I wonder if anyone knows what I'm talking about. The House Blend seemed to change around 2007.

My first reaction at opening this coffee was to recognize how beautiful the beans were. They were silky in appearance with a dark chocolate color and a look of quality. The first grind produced a prefect blend of consistency and aroma that filled the kitchen. The coffee had an amazingly smooth tone with no hint if bitterness and lived up to its reserve status. Starbucks you hit it out of the park with the Panama Pas Ancho roast!!!

I made the mistake of sampling this roast second after another one that I bought, and wow, it is just fantastic. I use it as a slightly milder, more flavorful espresso substitute and it is *Fantastic*. Not enough good words for it, really. Buy it now if you like fine medium Arabica coffees. "Paso Ancho" means "wide step" in Spanish, and the flavor is really fine and full to me. Enjoy!

Not typically an online review writer nor am I a daily Starbucks coffee buyer. Until I learned about Reserve, that is. This offering is excellent... complex, nuanced, floral. Unique character, a pleasure to drink.
