I was waiting for this cup. Thought it was the perfect cup, but the lid doesn't screw on correctly and it leaks!!! It just doesn;t work right. I have bought several cups from Starbucks, but this is the only one I can't use! It always drips!!! Don't purchase!

I purchased this in spite of the somewhat negative reviews and have been very pleased with the quality. I believe the leaking situation described is a result of expansion. If you'll let it sit for a minute after you pour the hot liquid and put the lid on, the expansion of the metal should eliminate any leaks. Been working great for me. Very good insulation qualities.

Keeps my coffee hot up to 3-4 hours, then after that pretty warm for another 1-2 hours. I remove the lid I like to drink from the from the bottle it self then cap it after each drink. It is easy to open and handle. Careful opening get a good grip the smooth shiny surface could slip from your hands we women have small hands. I had a leather cup holder from a previous Starbucks stainless steel tumbler, it works great for a better grip. A great purchase.

The pictures looked like the tumbler I used to have - that one was brought to me as a gift, from Starbucks in Thailand. However, while the top seal (where you sip) is good and reliable, the lid very easily leaks where it screws on, because of extremely poor design. I'm not going to be using it much longer.

While I admit that you have to be careful while putting on the lid, I just can't see with problems with this tumbler.
It is by far the best, most durable, heavy duty device of its kind. Period.

I read some reviews and they talk about leakage.. Maybe it has to do with washing it in the dishwasher? I hand wash the thing at it seems to do the trick. Mug not to slippery since there is no handle. I like so far

I've owned a lot of coffee tumblers - and I think this one is the best so far.
The coffee stays hot for a long time.
The lid secures easily and tightly.
The sip-closure seals well (no spills), and the whole lid is easy to clean thoroughly.
No complicated, moving parts that are hard to clean or can break.
No separate gaskets for the lid, which is nice, but the drawback is that coffee can seep out from around the seal if the tumbler is too full - so when topping off the cup, it's best to leave some extra room (about 3/4 of an inch from the top).
Aside from that one issue, about as close to perfect as you can get.

This is a nice travel mug. It looks great and appeared to hold plenty of coffee. When I filled it up, put on the lid and started walking...it leaked. I thought I had not put the lid on tight enough so I took it off and screwed it on extra tight. But, it still leaked. Third time was the charm. I filled it up right before the point where I thought the lid would hit the coffee. No leaking! I was filling it too high. Now, I wish it was bigger...I drink more coffee than the new fill line will allow. Other than that, it keeps my coffee super hot for several hours. That makes it worth the price.

This travel mug is beautiful, quite shiny, and it's perfectly shaped that my hand fits to easily clean all the way to the bottom. It fits all cup holders and keeps my coffee hot. I would buy this again. Thanks!

Purchased this tumbler and it leaks. It leaks when you drink or holding it. Thought it was the way I was putting the lid on it but that is not the reason. I have a green steel tumbler that I purchased about a year ago or so with a black handle that is wonderful it doenst leak and it keeps my coffee warm for hours and the ice in it stays ice for hours.

I recently purchased the High Shine, 16 oz. SS Tumbler with high expectations of hot coffee and a hot looking tumbler. I got both (sort of). I was not expecting it to leak between the lid and the tumbler (which I’m seeing is becoming a trend after reading other posts on this item). It should not be rocket science to screw the lid on, but it does seem to be at times. Sometimes I get a great seal with no leaks and at other times, it doesn’t matter how many times I try, it just leaks. Not sure why, it just leaks which can be a bit frustrating and messy. The coffee does not stay warm for long as I would like, but it does have a very polished aircraft-like finish. I have an older SS tumbler that keeps my coffee "drinkably" warm for hours after it has been poured from the pot and has an almost vacuum bottle-like quality that the High Shine does not. I have, however, received numerous compliments on the High Shine and I really do like the tumbler, so I will attempt to return it to the store where it was purchased and try to exchange it for another one that hopefully does not leak. Maybe the lid is defective. Provided I can get a High Shine that does not leak, I would recommend it to others. I would have rated it higher if it did not leak.

This is such a prized piece of my morning joy. Not only do I enjoy it's design, but it's so beautiful to look at. The quality is beyond compare, and it's a breeze to clean. This keeps my coffee warm literally for hours. I love the high shine.

It looks nice and does a good job of keeping drinks hot, but not as good as some older tumblers that Starbucks sold. Also, I'm not a fan of the shape of this cover, my nose (although avg size) touches the top of the cover while I drink. My wife also has the same issue.
I'd still be using my older tumblers, but the seal on the drink opening failed and I cannot find a replacement cover.

Absolutely loved this tumbler but it leaked. Kept my coffee hot much longer than any tumbler I have used in the past. We also purchased the navy matte tumbler as well and it's solid. Highly recommend!!
Took this back to the store and the young girl was more than happy to exchange it but the last one left leaked as well. Called Starbucks Customer Service and they were amazing. I have never had such a great experience returning something.

Very clean design. Lid seals nicely to prevent accidental spills. Outside stays cool while my favorite coffee stays nice and hot inside. No handle design means it fits in most all my coffee cup holders in my cars and my motorcycle! Quality product!
