Let's be honest, it's just a cone filter. It's kind of hard to mess up a cone filter, right? Well, you'd be surprised. That's why I like this filter. It works and it works well. I also liked that it is unbleached paper which is typically more environmentally friendly than bleached paper. If you follow the directions there should be no surprises when using these filters. And, at the end of the day, isn't that what we want from a coffee filter?
Just make sure this is the right sized filter for your needs. I use these filters in conjunction with my Starbucks pour over brewer and the fit is perfect. If you are using the filter in your counter top coffee brewer then you will likely need a larger size. After all, you gotta have the right tools for the job.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This filter breaks very often when I remove it from the pour over brewer, often ruining my cup of coffee below it. Waiting for the pack of 100 to run out so I can buy a better brand.
No, I do not recommend this product.

For an easier way of disposing of used filters, try removing the pour over cone from the mug first. Then you can empty the used grinds and filter by tilting the cone directly into the compost or garbage bin. I hope that helps.
