Thank goodness I only paid $13.99 for discounted one, because all the extra coupons were expired at the end of January, so was very disappointed to buy a cardboard box and some chocolates, when it said there was extras, it should have said that they expired, this should not have been sold past the end of January!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a waste of money!!!!

If you're a fan of dark chocolate this advent calendar is for you! What a waste of $30! Looked forward to a new surprise everyday but was disappointed only to find chocolate day after day after day. Boo.

It was only dark chocolate, and it was of poor quality. Very dry and flavorless. The doors were difficult to open, and some of the doors were missing the chocolate. The little coupons were not worth it. Most of them I couldn't even use because the Starbucks stores I went to wouldn't even let me use them. Trying to get you to spend more money. Couldn't even get the free tumbler since they ran out even though the expiration date isn't till March. Waste of money.

I bought this in early November as a gift for my brother's family. Then, I bought another on sale after Christmas for myself. I enjoyed it, and it would have been fun to open day by day as an Advent calendar ; )

Love the looks on the outside, modern art style. Interesting and unique ways to use the advent calendar. I love the surprises inside.

the mini door leaves open the gaps, which it bothers me Also, makes it hard to pry it open in some section. Inside the box, I felt it was designed in lazy ways and not really sturdy feel. Hard to get the few sweets out of the slots, some were stuck inside, had to shake it out. Wish there was few varies different kind of sweets inside instead of all of the same ones, it get kinda old fast.

OVERALL:
It was priced at the decent deal along with 5 surprise notes inside which it makes up the price value cost. The colors are spot on for the classic Christmas modern look. I am looking forward to another collection set of advent calendar in near future.

I got this for my boyfriend who is a Starbucks lover. Every day was a dark chocolate that didn't taste very good and took 10 minutes to dig out. There were 3 coupons inside the box and they were comparable to the deals offered in store. There was a coupon for a free tumbler inside but it's really just a plastic cup that can only be used and re-used a couple of times. This was a huge disappointment especially coming from a company I like to think highly of. It was more embarrassing to give than to receive.

Basically you are purchasing a high end Christmas decoration filled with dark chocolate. Doors are hard to open. Code for $5 eCOUPON was the best surprise, but that wasn't worth full price paid for the item. I'm glad I got it on sale for $5 off discount, but the chocolate didn't make up for the value of the item. One of the coupons expired before the end of 2012 so that was a wash. Overall disappointment regarding this product. Would not recommend in the future. I would recommend a lower price point or more of a variety of chocolate flavors, holiday drink coupons with later expiration dates, etc.

My wife and I purchased the Advent Calendar the day after Thanksgiving, the sign at our local Starbucks stated you would get a free coffee cup and brewed coffee through February, as this appeared to be a great deal, we purchased one, as the month progressed we kept getting the little choclates and coupons, however nothing about the brewed coffee deal, went into Starbucks this morning and they never heard of this and gave me an empty cup that I could use and pay for my own drinks, I am such a dedicated Starbucks customer I cannot beleive our local Starbuck stooped to that level just to meet the quota, of course when you buy this, you do not know what you get or did not get until Christmas..then it's too late. I am very DISSAPPOINTED in Starbucks..between my wife and I we spend $300.00 per month just on coffee.

I got this for my husband, thank goodness he LOVES Dark Chocolate because its the only thing in there. I was under the assumption that there would be something else in here (diffrent) Like.. Via? Maybe a wider assortment of chocolate? A cookie? I dont know.
I like the "surprizes" but the cards are TINY (easy to lose) and a couple are just kinda meh. This is my first Advent From Starbucks and unless i get it at a killer deal (after Dec 1st again) I wouldnt be buying (and Id be very angry if I would have paid regular price for it) The design on the boxes are amazing. Its so unique.
PS- I would have LOVED to have seen an extra special surpize on the 25th. Nothing in there but the boring same ol chocolate piece

This was my third or fourth Advent calendar from Starbucks, and by far the worst. I didn't realize until after opening a few day's worth of boxes that all of the chocolate was dark - which I hate. I looked at the packaging, and the front of the packages said "filled with chocolates...". In the past, this meant a variety of chocolates. I looked at the back of the box, and in tiny letters it noted that the chocolates were dark. Had I known that, I never would have gotten it. Also, I agree with the other reviewers - the chocolates are hard to get out, and quality of chocolate is not very good, and the "surprises" (tiny coupons that are VERY easy to lose) aren't worth the price I paid. To top it off, some of the offers on the coupons were available at the store without any coupon. And one of the items (the one for the "petites") has been impossible for me to find. I've been to five stores, and either they've "never heard of petites" or they don't have them. So, a waste. This was the worst product I've ever gotten from Starbucks, and because of it, probably won't be getting any more Advent calendars from them.

Advent calendars typically have a different surprise for each day. I absolutely loved the design of this calendar but was disappointed that Starbucks put the same piece of dark chocolate in each day's box. It would have gotten 5 stars if it had some variety. Sad that I paid full price for it.

Ive always bought advent calenders from Starbucks in the past years so when they came out with this one of course i bought it! The description on the box claims its worth more than what you pay for but the little "coupons" have you going back and spending money. I thought advent calenders were for children..what does a child look like buying a holiday beverage and getting one for free? It would of been better to just find chocolate than these "coupons". The structure of the calender was neat, except for trying to get the chocolate out. Maybe a better idea will come next year.

I had never bought an Advent Calendar before so I thought it would be fun to try this one out. I was immediately disappointed. The chocolates were hard to get out and not of very good quality. And the coupons received were hardly worth the value you of the whole item. I would never buy this product again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

This is a cute idea, but I could not get any of the treats out of the boxes! They are too small and awkward. My toddler could not get them out either. The gift coupons were so small that I lost all of them. Terrible design, I would not buy this again.

I was very disappointed with this advent calendar. We have used a Starbucks advent calendar for years, filling it with various surprises after it was empty of the original contents. I had planned to fill this calendar that I had purchased with small prizes to send to my son next year. There is no way that I can do so with the current calendar. There are few boxes that can be refilled, and the calendar is cheaply made with ill-fitting openings. If Starbucks brought back the original advent calendar they sold, I would buy it. However, I wasted money on this one.

I just got this as a secret Santa gift. I agree with other reviews tht it is hard to open the compartments. However, if you really want to get the chocolate out, you could get it from the top of the box! Also, make sure u use the coupons before expiration day. I was thrilled about the tiny surprises. I opened every single one and gathered all the coupons in one compartment. It's the coolest gift I've got so far.
