When I walked into my local Starbucks and read that this was a Downtempo/Trip-Hop type of mix I was excited to say the least. Especially with the talent lined up like Tosca, Propellerheads & Thievery Corporation.
I had very high expectations for this compilation and surprisingly they were met. This compilation is more of a steady tempo, more Trip-Hop style then ambient. So I agree with the packaging this is a good mix to take you from a high-tempo down to mid-tempo.

Standout cuts include “Tosca – Natural High”, “Ennio Morricone – Amore Come Dolore (Needs Remix)”, “Slackwax – Close To My Fire” & “Minus 8 – Elysian Fields”. Mind you the whole compilation really shines with a good balance of well-known trip-hop heroes to the more underground up and coming. A strong piece of work with all 12 tracks working together to really create a soothing mid-tempo ride. ~!

Fantastic mix. Chill, but not sleepy. Mix of styles. Just truly fantastic. Would recommend this to anyone looking for some low key music.
