It was a great grinder for the price but the burrs only lasted ~year. It was used several times a day. The burrs wore down over the course of year, making the coffee taste terrible. If you are a heavy espresso drinker I would recommend spending the money to get a grinder with stainless steel burrs.

This is the first geared coffee grinder I've owned (after many blade grinders). It is much noisier than I expected. Even with a medium-coarse grinding setting, it produces a lot of coffee dust, some of which inevitably ends up on the counter surface when you open the ground coffee container to empty it into the coffee maker. So far I've found I need to clean the counter area after each use.

This grinds the coffee the way you set it. Took a few minutes to figure out you had to hold the lid down in order to get it to run. The directions did not say this..Very well made. I don't grind coffee as much as I use to...so this serves the purpose.

I've used this grinder 3-4 times per week for two years and it still works great. A burr grinder in this price range is a total steal and I'm so glad I bought it. It's easy to adjust coarseness to switch between brewing drip coffee and french press. I highly recommend it.

A high-quality coffee grinder that makes grinding coffee to a pre-set amount and grind and then walking away an ease. My only complaint is that even on the most coarse setting, which I use for my french press, some of the grinds can be fine.

I selected this product based on positive reviews. Here is my candid feedback:
PROS:
- attractive design. Looks great in the kitchen.
- grinds coffee uniformly

CONS:
- the batch selector (number of cups) has no bearing on how much coffee is ground, only the amount of time it grinds. This requires me to still measure out of the grinder to brew a pot.
- low capacity, you have to fill it prior to grinding each batch

I have an older addition of this pruduct. It sits ontop of my stereo, and has character; grinds well. I do recommend because of this and when it comes time to update my grinder, it's over 75% that I would buy this one.

I was told that to properly grind beans for a French Press, I needed to get a Burr Grinder instead of a propeller grinder.
I have been using my old grinder for over 20 years and it still works well.
I like my new Burr grinder from Krups, but with one exception. It is messy. Not bad, but messy enough that
i have to clean up after every use.
I suspect it is just a design flaw, but only minor.
It helps to make good coffee and that is the main thing.

I have owned and used this grinder for 5 years. Getting ready to replace it.
Pros -1. easy to change settings from coarse to fine.
2. Can make one cup or whole pot
Cons - 1. It is messy - static electricity makes the grounds fly around - I always have to wipe down the area after I use it.
2. Noisy - I like to hum with the grinder
3. Plastic can break

To sum up - It is an inexpensive,dependable machine with a couple of issues. The clean up is the biggest but it takes maybe 20 seconds. I like it and would buy another.

I have read a lot of reviews stating that this is a messy machine. I have not experienced that yet and feel that there's nearly no mess once I take the coffee out of the machine. With that said, I feel the "coarse" grind setting is too fine and doesn't really mirror what I have seen with other machines. I haven't really had any issues when making coffee through a press, but I feel it could be more coarse. At first I did have trouble getting the power to work. I thought I had a defective item, but realized you have to really press down hard on the power button to get it to work. All in all it is a great machine and gets the job done. I would purchase elsewhere if you don't have a gift-card to this specific store as you will find it cheaper almost at every other retailer.
