I grew up in ships where 8 and 10 cups of coffee a day was the norm. What else was there to do crossing the Winter North Atlantic then wedge yourself into a corner of the bridge with a fresh cup of brew. The brew back then was something out of a #10 can and had a marketing slogan like "good to the last drop." What did we know?
Later, I lived in Hawai'i and coffee from the Big Island's Kona Coast became something of an obsession. Very deserving living in Paradise.
Now, when I travel the world -- no longer in ships -- I find it downright comforting to taste the same Pike Place brew whether it's on the Circular Quay in Sydney or at terminal whatever at London's Heathrow or on a sidewalk in Tokyo. Ray Kroc was right, but he wasn't thinking coffee beans. Here's to Starbucks and one great tasting Pike Place brew!

I have tried many different blends and I like dark full bodied coffees but Pike place is the standard to judge other coffees it's just a great tasting perfectly balanced coffee not too strong or to weak I always have this coffee on hand

Whenever I go into Starbucks for coffee and Pike's Place is the only brew they have available, I always say "no, thank you." This coffee is not bold enough for my taste. I know it's a Starbuck's original blend but it misses the mark.

You can really smell d fresh coffee as u open d box! Great idea guys! Not sure...but seems like you get a fresher bag of coffee when you have it shipped to you. Not to mention...it's pretty awesome to get a box shipped to you from Starbucks in the mail!

I was very excited to hear Starbucks was doing mail-order coffee and tried some investigating to figure out the price for the service. I went through the entire order process and still was unable to determine how much I would pay. A few days later, I received an email from Starbucks thanking me for my subscription order. I was so confused because I had not submitted my purchase. After calling customer service I learned that the item is billed when it is shipped out and it is NOT cost effective if you have a Starbucks that you frequent regularly. This service is primarily for business offices or people who live in towns without Startbucks. The coffee price is the same with $4-$6 in shipping. Customer service was very kind and cancelled my subscription. I did have to eat the cost of two pounds of coffee plus shipping, but I'm okay with it because I'd drink it anyway. I hope my mistake/investigation will help you with deciding if this service is right for you.

Of all the whole bean coffee I have tried so far, Pikes Place is my favorite. But I still have many to try in the future. I love my Coffee Press, and after trial and error, I found the right mix of coffee and water.

We love Pike Place and always get it at Starbucks. When I order bags for home use the quality is very inconsistent.
One bag will be full of perfect beans, the next will be broken bits of beans that look like the bottom of the barrel.
I never know what I am going to get when I open the bag. This last order we said we would see how it goes. If it's as bad as the last order we won't buy again. I don't want to pay for broken bits and dregs of coffee beans.

I've tried many different blends and roasts from Starbucks and this is by far my favorite. I am a self proclaimed "Coffee Snob" and I can't get enough Pikes Place. I recently moved from the big city to rural Nebraska and LOVE that I can get my Pikes shipped to my front door.

I bought a bag of this in a Starbucks store wanting to try something different and I think I found my new favorite coffee. It isn't to strong but has a very good deep flavor to it. Very balanced not spicy but no sweet either.

In the past I have used the Cafee Verona, which I love. I decided just for a change to try the Pike Place Roast. I think I had gotten it a couple of years ago and had liked it. I always make my own Iced coffee and this tastes great.

This is my favorite coffee. I usually buy it in 5# bags at store. With gas prices and the store being 30 miles away, I ordered on line this time. I was not able to get it in 5# bags. I don't like dealing with 5 bags to store. I hope I will able to order 5# bags next time.
