The handle locks the lid down tightly when upright. I wish it held more than 16oz but it serves its purpose very well.

I got one last year - not lime green but with the white sleeve. I love it and use it daily. Love that it's glass, love the design. The flip top is handy too.

Love this bottle, but I agree with other reviewers...it needs to be bigger. The best part of this bottle is that if you remove the stopper in the plastic lid, you can use a straw. With the lid shut and the straw in, only a little will spill if knocked over. My son and I love to use glass straws...they make everything taste better. The combination of glass bottle and straw is fantastic!

I shopped around a lot before I bought this bottle. I am very happy with it. My only issue is I wish it was a few ounces bigger. Great Job though Starbucks! Perfect in the AZ heat.

After months of hunting, I have finally found the perfect water bottle. With my arthritis, I needed something with a larger handle. So many water bottles have just a loop for one finger which is painful to carry if your finger joints are already aching. Since I work in a pharmacy, I wanted something with a covered opening. All that pill dust in the air, you never know what has settled on the straw or lip of your bottle. Speaking of dust, it gets on my gloves also, so it's nice to have the flip-top. That means I don't have to touch the opening in order to take a drink. It is a bit heavy, but has a small enough diameter that I can get a good grip on it even when my hands hurt. And last, but not least, it is glass. I've started getting worried about the chemicals that could leach out of plastics, even if they are supposedly safe. No such worries with glass. I plan on buying more of them.

I absolutely love this water bottle. I am a huge fan of carrying my own different kinds of bottles for my water, and when I seen this one in the store, I HAD to have it. It's great. I have a lot of different reusable plastic and stainless steel bottles, but I've never had a glass one.
For me, this bottle is well worth the money you have to pay for it. It's fairly light and very cute.
The only thing that I wish were different is the size. It only holds 16oz. of water. That's less than what is in a normal-sized water bottle you can buy from the store. I really do wish it could hold at least 20-24 oz. That would make this bottle completely PERFECT!

PROS: completely leak-proof when the locking arm is up.
Drop-proof: my sons have dropped it on concrete twice and didn't break at all! the silicone-or-whatever lining is super-thick at the bottom - brilliant!
Grippy: The liner gives great traction to the bottle, a plus over typical plastic water bottles.
No face-bump: I LOVE that the cap has a semi-lock position when open, so it doesn't smack me in the face every time I take a drink. Genius!
CONS: WAY too small. 24oz minimum, and I'd prefer 32. Also, the liner collects every speck of dust, dirt, pet hair, etc if it touches a rug, etc. Mine's always gritty after just being in my otherwise clean cloth bag.

I'm having issues with unscrewing the top. For some reason after having it for a while it no longer wants to budge and that's an issue. Not sure what to do.
Other than that, I like this water bottle and have gotten plently of compliments on it.

I agree with the previous review. It's a great water bottle and it looks very cute.
It is over priced, but I bought mine at the starbucks store out of the clearance section. Worth it, I think.
I also wish it would hold more water. It looks like it would hold a lot but it's pretty think. It holds less than 16.9 ounces (a medium-sized bottle of water that you can buy in any store).
Regardless, I think it's well worth the purchase (particularly if you can get it on sale).

PROS: 1) WON'T SPILL: I ordered the this glass water bottle and the purple one. Over the years I've been looking for a water bottle that was this good & I'm so glad I found it. This glass water bottle is amazing because it doesn't spill your water at all. You can toss it in your bag & skare it around so much that it won't spill. The plastic removable material that's on the cap secures the liquid inside the glass bottle.
2) SECURE: Another thing I wanted to point out is that this glass bottle won't break because the glass is thick and protected by the plastic green material, which is removable.
3) keeps your beverage fresh & cool. Perfect for the summer

CONS: 1) PRICE: it's over priced
2) SIZE: this water bottle fits the side pocket of my backpack but it's too tall & it looks weird. That's my only concern but it's not a problem because I like to carry it around.
3) 16oz- I wish they made this glass bottle in a bigger size. The amount of water that fits in here is not much.
Overall I like this water bottle. I gotten many compliments & people ask me where I got this handy dandy water bottle.
